What a segment is
A Segment is a curated group of products built for a specific campaign or promotion — "Summer Sale items", "Seasonal gifting under $50", "men's running shoes in stock". Unlike a Segment (which is rule-based and updates automatically), a Segment is hand-curated and stays fixed until you change it.
Segments are reusable — once built, you can drop the same segment into a feed, an ad campaign, or a report without recreating the product selection each time.
Step 1: Open Segments and create a new one
Go to Segments and click "New segment". Give it a working name to start.
Step 2: Describe the products you want
Type a plain-English description of what should be in this segment — for example:
- "Women's summer dresses and skirts under $50"
- "All running shoes currently in stock, price between $80 and $200"
- "Bestselling home décor items from the living room category"
FeedGraph interprets the description and shows the matching products. Review the selection and refine your description if the results aren't quite right.
Step 3: Adjust the selection if needed
You can add or remove individual products from the suggested selection, or combine the AI-selected set with manual picks. Segments support a mixed approach.
Step 4: Name and save the segment
Give the segment its final name and save it. It now appears in your Segments library.
Step 5: Use the segment wherever you need it
When building a feed in Channel feeds, select "from a segment" as your product source and choose this segment. When setting up an ad campaign, reference the segment to define the product scope. The same curated selection is used everywhere — no risk of different product sets across different touchpoints for the same campaign.
